Yeah, like that. The problem is, all my discs are hundreds of Ks away, so whilke downloading them would be a pain in the arse, it would be nice to know I can do it without the discs or rebuying the software.
Well, I have had a similar problem before, and whilst potentially it might vary depending on teh game in question I was able to reinstall just from the Steam cloud, without the discs.

Upon closer inspection, it has become clear that I have nothing left to say in my signature, so I did this instead.

You probably can. This is just one game, but I bought the original Portal and downloaded it with a CD, but I can redownload it using Steam on any computer.

Some games that are available on Steam can be installed from the cloud even if you originally bought and installed them from disc. You just have to have registered the game install code with Steam.

I love animals, I really do. If I had more money, I'd donate a crapload to various rescue organizations. But their commercials have gotten a bit ridiculous, showing the helpless faces of abused animals and heart-breaking music to go along with it, trying to guilt you into making a donation. I think it'd be much better to give viewers a positive image, maybe show the progress that contributions allow. Otherwise, I have to turn the TV off during those commercials because I can't bear to watch.

I agree completely. I think those type of ads to more to drive people away than bring people in. Everyone I know who has seen the commercial has watched it once, cried, and changes the channel any time it's on.

I think commercials like the one I'm about to post would be a little more effective. It also follows your idea of showing the progress.

Starts out a little sad, then YAY HE'S GOT A HOME!

Speaking of Steam issues, I've had someone send me invites to the FSTDT group but haven't received any of them. Does the group require the admin to let one join, or is this just some weird glitch?

The fact that my twin sister got her stupid ass arrested again for under age drinking, breaking and entering, and finally robbery.

She has (or, at the rate she is going, had) two kids! How stupid can she get? Now I understand why even family members gives weird looks when they remember we're related.

It was originally set up so that an admin has to let you in. Whoever set it up has apparently resigned, as I'm the only one with admin control. That being said, I have sent an invite you you.
