Another party to look at would be the Regressive Party. http://thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=regressive

Australian, not aligned with any party. I tend to vote Labor for the house of reps and some other minor party I agree with for the senate (last election it was the Australian Sex Party, largely for their anti-internet filter stance).

I'm not a member of any party. Last election I voted the Frente Amplio Progresista (Broad Progressive Front) candidate for president and the FIT (Worker's Leftist Front) for congress. Mind you, those are not parties, they were coalitions made for the purpose of the last election.

My country doesn't really have a coalition that represents a section of the political spectrum per se. Sadly due to the rampant corruption and institutional racism that pervades this country all we have is a status-quo dominant party, and the opposition, which spans the gamut from socialism to Islamism.

I'm stuck at this point because of my position to never, ever vote for the dominant party. Sadly the alternative (at least in my constituency) is a Christianist. Still, better than the racist fuckers who so publicly squandered money by building a stupid metal bird in the middle of a isolated park for millions.

If I'm still living here in November or somewhere else I suppose I'll have to register again. Oh bother.

I live in the US, and I'm a registered Democrat, even though I've been meaning to change it to either Green or Independent.

Registered Republican but I vote all over the place.

Yeah, shut up. I know.

I also am apparently an honorary member of the Scottish National Party based on some things I did a few years back. But it's not like I can do anything with honorary membership. *eyeroll*

I mainly vote on issues because voting for people is a crap shoot where I live. Especially after Georgia decided to vote for some vehement homophobes.

Probably going to change it to independent once I go to change my details since I moved. Need to change my ID/driver's license card too.

US, Independent, former Republican. I've had enough of the parties, and will vote only on a person's merit.

Legally, Republican, but only to vote in the Presidential primary (which I've heard from another thread may not happen in Rhode Island thank you Republican candidates!! grr).

In reality, I will nearly always agree more with the Democratic candidate than the Republican candidate.

I'm tempted to start a legit Lemon Party. We'll run on a platform of sex positivity, LGBTQ+ rights, universal health care, and a censorship-free Internet.

And lemons.

I'm registered as a Republican, but I no longer align myself with any one party.

A dragon flew out of his cave,
and killed a corpulent knave.
He ate the fat man in four bites,

That dragon sat by his cave wall,
wishing he had Pepto Bismal.

I was thinking of registering republican and vote for a crappy candidates, for the lulz, but decided that it wasn't really worth it. It would be really hard to choose which one would be the crappiest as well as being able to convince enough people to deter votes from more serious candidates (like… er, Ron Paul?), although from what I heard Santorum is surging from behind.
