I wish I could be there to protest. Living 10 hours from NYC sucks ass.

You can donate money to the force at large, not to individual officers. There's even a bit of a tradition of donating money to the force and getting a decal to put on your car, so if you get pulled over... That's obscene! My respect for the executive branches of America's many and varied governments continues to plummet. No it's not. It's standard operating procedure for any type of public service. Even in your country, it's how your cops, firemen and medical personal get to afford a lot of stuff. Ironbite-even in your own country of Stralia.

Variegated...?
*googles*
So, instead of even using "varied" or even a synonym for "varied", he chose to refer to a flora pigmentation phenomenon... that essentially, in context, means "varied" anyways.
This guy's using big words for the sake of using big words so that he can sound intelligent. I am offended. And strangely amused at the same time.

Especiall if it comes complete with windscreen decals. Not cops. Ambos and fireys, sure, but no, police do not accept any form of gratuity, or "donation". The potential conflict of interest is so glaring blind bloody freddy can see it.

The feeling's mutual. Tea party protesters are fine; they're merely ignorant, bigoted, incoherant conservatives. Occupywallstreeters are well-informed, hard-working liberals with legitimate disputes- and that's beyond the pale. They're barely even human any more, such is the crime of rational critique of economic policy.

I'm going to a local march friday. But I'm fearing it may just turn out to be a "feel-good" exercise in futility.

This guy lays a verbal beatdown on Fox News. I think you can guess why it was never aired.

Dude seriously. Check other threads before you go ahead and post stuff that's already in them.
Ironbite-no need for these things when we've got clearly labeled threads for 'em

Mat Taibbi and Keith Olbermann discussed OWS on Olbermann's new show. They're saying that, as of right now, the protest isn't much more than disenfranchised college students, but that it has the potential to become a more powerful movement. And, of course, they take a shot at Fox "News" & the MSM in general for not giving OWS a whole lot of attention, when they gave much smaller teabagger gatherings much more attention. There also appears to be an aerial pic of the protests going around that is completely fake. I don't know how widespread this picture is, or who made it, but I'm really hoping it isn't the kind of thing that'll severely damage this movement's credibility.

Uniformed Marines said they were going to protect protesters. Would love to know if this happened. Also Addicting News has a bunch of interesting articles on occupy wall street.
