We are highly experienced in booking the lowest airline fares that can match our time table goals, saving you the most money possible. Other costs shall not be incurred without full knowledge and agreement of the parents.
ONCE THE AGENTS HAVE LEFT TO PICK-UP YOUR CHILD NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN EXCEPT FOR ANY REFUNDABLE AIRFARE.

Parents more or less own their kids until they're 18. Yeah, but I would've thought child abuse laws would kick in with a vengeance when it comes to these sort of shenanigans. There is no snide image macro that could truly convey the amount of seething contempt that I have for these people. If I had ever directly witnessed anything like this, it's a safe bet that someone out there would be breathing through a new hole in their head.

If my parents had dared try this on me when I was still living at home (thank the Darkness at least Dad had common sense... the woman that raised me, on the other hand...), there'd be bodies and blood on the floor before I'd allow myself to be kidnapped.

I remember reading a similar story from a young man who was taken by force to one of these "schools". Here's the thing: what parent in their fright mind would condone that sort of behavior? Bursting in in the middle of the night, scaring the shit out of your kid, etc.
