Hysterical, militant virtue seems to be in direct proportion to the preponderance of temptation and the weakness of the local will.

Upon closer inspection, it has become clear that I have nothing left to say in my signature, so I did this instead.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you're the only member of this board who thinks he was joking!

If it's not too obscure, I'd suggest."Even a magpie is smarter than you" award. Why?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirror_test

First off, the site is looking awesome. Work has been horrendous so I've been away for a while. Secondly, is there a pool of available awards that we choose from or do we just make up relevant categories? If the latter, here are my two nominations:http://www.fstdt.net/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=60622 Junior Scientist Award - For the fundies who fail utterly at science but goshdarnit they tried!http://www.fstdt.net/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=60603 The You Even Freak Out Jesus Award - For the comments that are so out there and full of fundie-fap material that even Jesus would pretend not to know them.

How about a "Missing the point by the width of a galaxy" award?

Alright boys, came up with a bit better strategy for nomination approval. Tonight, tommorrow, sometime before saturday I'll setup a poll. Selecting at most two awards I'll look at the highest scorers and approve a number deemed appropriate for the response and number of submissions. And I'll keep this up weekly, using the polls here.

We used to have a bunch of common awards we gave out like "fundamentalism in a nutshell" and "Lying for Jesus" and the "Pot and Kettle Prize" and similar stuff, but I don't think the awards were ever set in stone.
