Apparently, one of America's most iconic duos, Beavis and Butt-head, have been given a revival today by MTV. I just watched the first new episode, and its pretty damn good. Beavis' voice has changed a bit, but I think that's more because of Mike Judge's voice changing after so long.
So...what do you guys think? Awesome, crap, or totally sweet?

You what's funny about this statement, the fact that MTV doesn't hardly even show Music videos anymore, and the music in it probably has been the most MTV has shown in a long time. I didn't watch, I didn't know today was the day, to be honest I haven't watched MTV in years...

I don't think they featured any videos, probably because they couldn't acquire the rights.

That is just sad...MTV really needs to give up the logo, and do a name change

Or bring the music back, and dump all those stupid "reality" shows onto a new channel, the Idiot Network or something.

I have no idea what all the fuss is about. But then, I was a child when the original series aired, and was forbidden to watch MTV until I was a teenager.
I didn't discover Daria until the day of the series finale, and this makes me sad because I could tell from that episode alone that it was an awesome show.

the original is on Netflix (or was...?) and I watched a couple episodes. I became confused as to why I loved the show as it was so... stupid.

Because, at the time, it brought a subset of music into the mainstream. For those of us who were older, you never heard of most of the stuff they played outside of Headbanger's Ball. Also, it was dumb comedy.

Shaney, that's the point. If it were intelligent, insightful commentary on the society of the time, it just wouldn't work. It'd be...well...boring. The whole appeal (to me) of Beavis and Butt-Head is that they, and by extension, most everyone else in the show, are varying degrees of either insane or stupid.
