No, sadly stuff like that does happen. Sometime in the 80s or 90s a woman from my state hung herself from a tree in her yard around Halloween. She was up there for days before people realized she wasn't a decoration.

Yeah, the accidentally hanging thing actually has happened. More than once. It's not exactly commonplace, but people have been known to fuck up the supports needed to make it look like you've been hanged without actually, well, hanging you. This one, Shane?
