I have become a big tea fan since I gave up coffee. At the minute my holy grail of tea is Lapsang Souchong, the smoky flavour is just perfect. It is, however, very hard to find for cheap here so I have been drinking a lot of wulong tea. A good jasmine tea can never go amiss, and I had a brief love affair with something called "Russian Caravan" when my local teamongers had it in.
I am also a fan of fruit teas, particularly a lot of German brands, which I am sure makes me scum in the eyes of some purists. I'm generally pretty indifferent on the leave vs. bag front, I prefer dried leaves, naturally, but I have no complaint with bags if they are cheaper (they never are).
Edit: I completely forgot about Pu'er! That beautiful salmony tea, man I miss that.

I love tea, I like chai tea, and English Breakfast tea, and lemon tea, and peppermint tea, etc. I don't like green tea though.
I've always had bags, because that's what my dad buys.

My favourite used to be Lyons English Breakfast tea - but that no longer seems to be available over here and the Twinings version is just not smokey enough.
Russian Caravan is almost as good - but the supply is erratic.
For everyday enjoyment, Twinings Everyday tea is excellent - but quite expensive these days. Equally good, and equally expensive, is Yorkshire Gold - tea for hard northern bastards.
I also like keemun, lapsang souchon and any oolung tea - provided they are not overbrewed. The same goes for any pure (i.e. un jasminised green tea).
I don't care for fruity teas - and I don't really like jasmine tea other than as an occasional very mild brew - it's too flowery for my taste.

If you have access to keemun, lapsang souchon and oolong as loose teas you can make your own russian caravan, those are the three teas used in the blend.

I'll drink most any kind of tea, so long as its properly sweetened...and has zero fucking creamer in it. Shut up, I've seen people who do that and it confuses and squicks me to no end. I typically drink mine warm to hot, and I make a LOT of it at once, so it'll last longer. I'm talkin a full 32 ounces. Ey, its easier than making several, smaller cups over the course of a day and wasting significantly more tea bags.
Though, there are the crappy, flavored kind that my dad seems hell bent on getting whenever he can that ALL taste like they've had some crappy cinnamon knockoff mixed in, even if its described as "blackberry pomegranate" tea or some such bullshit. And, don't ever think I'll drink tea unsweetened, because I won't. I can't stomach it, just like I can't stomach black coffee...I'd rather drink plain water or one of the 50,000,000 varieties of Dr. Pepper and/or Monster out there.

I don't do sugar or powdered creamers (gag), but I will take a bit of milk. :3

I'm having trouble bringing out the mint of my peppermint tea. It said to steep for five minutes but I do multiple cups at a time so i don't know if that's the problem.
I also use three Splendas (only thing we have in the house) and I taste no sweetness at all. >.<

Is that what my cat is trying to do when he comes to investigate pot of tea? He does like to be helpful...
