"Mentioning God wouldn't have helped, people slip out their true beliefs, and throw "God" in there for cover." as quoted by Rupture Ready. How ironic that RR says this when it applies more to thier agenda than anyone else. RR also fails to mention as to which of the 2877 "one true, all-powerful, all-seeing and omnipotent" gods that man has invented to counter his ignorance.
Now I'm going to Church - just as soon as I've found the keys to the bulldozer.

Yeah, but at one point he looked toward the ceiling and smiled. Obviously he was thanking Ceiling Cat.

Yeah, but at one point he looked toward the ceiling and smiled. Obviously he was thanking Ceiling Cat. Or smirking at God, knowing that the old fogey can't strike back at him and his evil anti-Christ agenda of eating babies and oppressing God's elect, American Republicans. It will have to fall to insane right-wing gun nuts in their fortresses of solitude, i.e. rusted-out corrugated iron shacks without electricity or running water deep in the back woods.

This is precisely why I said that these people have no actual faith to speak of, just a frantic desperation to cling to a steadily slipping worldview. The sad thing is, they accuse this weak faith as "strength". Though it does make me wonder: if you have such a weak faith in your god, could you still be considered religious? Case in point: a Super-Mod on RR stated: Probably not the excuse that would've been made if he did mention God. But as yaezakura points out, nothing Obama'll do will ever make these people happy. Indecently, does that Rick Ashly pic count as being Rick Roll'd? Incidentally, not indecently. Unless there's a frame in there of indecent exposure or some shit. Also, Astley.

Bloody fucking hell, Fox News felt the need to construct a chart on how many times each candidate mentioned the word "God"?

Quick! Where's that "Republican Tears of Impotent Rage" faux, wine ad-like graphic?!!!
I'd love to see a debate between a fundie faux-Christian & an intelligent real Christian who actually follows Jesus (the later who KNOWS the Bible & Bible scholarship). After that, pit the fundie against an expert on US History & The US Constitution.
It wont convince the fundie but it WILL educate the public & would really fun to watch.
