^Ha ha! That song is more offensive to Christians!
I can't believe that it's not poe... Although it would be really fun to parody.
Put SATURN back into Saturnalia!

Can't tell if stupid or just really good parody. I think the "that sounds reasonable" line kind of gave it away, although I'm honestly not entirely sure.

Another video is about a child being told his grandpa is in hell. It's hilarious how it pretty much says the same thing as the "serious" christmas video, but came out two years earlier.

One phrase that is rapidly gaining ground for me is the one that goes like (responding to the bible quote I throw back at them) "Well, the Holy Spirit hasn't opened your eyes to the true meaning of the verse." To me, it sounds to much like "I don't like that you used my book against me".

Similar to, "I was once like you..."
"One day, you'll wake up and see the light of God."
How do you even respond to that? All I could ever come up with was, "One day, you'll realize that you're wasting your time... and kind of being a dick."

Okay, this I gotta hear... is it because their parents aren't Christian, they turned away from the faith, what? I mean, growing up, the woman that raised me insisted I was going to hell if I wasn't Christian (to which I answered "It's your hell, YOU burn in it!"), so I'd love to hear what the justification is that a couple kids, just by virtue of being BORN, deserve to go to hell. None of the above really - just the doctrine that since we're all sinners, humans are evil by nature, no one is innocent, that we ALL deserve a million billion trillion centuries (and then some) in a place that makes the Holocaust look like a summer camp. After seeing the innocence of my two nephews, it disgusted and infuriated me that someone could believe that EVERYONE, even them, could deserve such a fate. Yup, it's so stupid. Just because we were the ansestors of someone who took a bite out of a wrong apple we deserve the worst fate known to man (why would god even put the fucking apple there?). So by default, that must also mean that we deserve any bad thing that happens to us on earth which I think describes why fundies have no compassion for anyone. In fact, the entire idea that we deserve hell is the worst kind of mental abuse you can inflict on someone. Hell alone is probably one of the greatest sources of High Octane Nightmare Fuel you can find, but saying we deserve it, WTF? And that brings up another rant on it's own. "BUT JESUS DIED FOR US!!". As it that fixes everything wrong with the religion. Yeah, a few lucky fuckers won't be tortured for eternity after death. That's ignoring that most people will end up in hell according to their backwards theology. And the idea of "accepting Christ" is so vague that no can ever agree on what it means, just like most religious jargon. It's a good thing I stopped believing in this because god knows what kind of mental institution I'd be in if I continued to think that way.

Would you consider most fundies to be Complete Monsters or just Well-Intentioned Extremists?

I'd consider most to be a cross between Well Intentioned Morons and Jerkass. But some (Fred Phelps, Jack Hyles, Ronald E Williams, and a few others) are obvious Complete Monsters.

Sarah Palin would be a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing, a Smug Snake, and a Complete Monster. Her Moral Event Horizon, among others, would be that crosshairs map she made. Even if it didn't inspire the Tucson tragedy, it easily could have.

I used to give most fundies the benefit of the doubt, but after seeing all the horrible things they condone and all the shit that their representatives in government are doing, I have come to the conclusion that they're all Complete Monsters. Their arguments have been refuted so often that even they must know that they are spouting lies. And of course, telling a falsehood knowingly just to get more power is evil in its purest form. Thus, the whole group is consigned to Complete Monsterdom.

"Are you calling god a liar?"
No, I'm calling YOU are liar. You're the one claiming to be god's spokesperson.
Excessive use of the word "truth"
You can say something is the truth till you're blue in the face, but that doesn't make it so.
"Christianity is a relationship with God/Jesus"
Yeah and where is God/Jesus?
"You didn't pray hard enough/have enough faith/love god enough"
I thought the whole salvation thing was a "free gift".
