If you could meet any person (dead or alive) or witness any event in all of history, who/what would it be and why? If it is a person, what would you talk to them about?
I'll say in advance that, on a long enough timeline, I ask this question everywhere I go, so if I have already asked it here, and this is a repeat thread, I apologize in advance.

Tesla, no question, due to the sheer awesome science.
Failing that? Walt Disney. Good memories, growing up. I'd love to see what he'd think of today's cartoons across the spectrum.

If I could witness any event in history?
I'd like front-row seats to the Big Bang, please.

Meet anyone btw. Meet anyone.
I second Telsa. I wouldn't be able to understand him but damn it, I want the plans for the Death Ray he was developing.

I'm still more interested in visiting the Jurassic Period than anything else.
EDIT: Meet anyone? I'm aware of the controversy over his existence, but I would like to meet Jesus and hear what he actually said rather than reading it secondhand from his followers.

Thomas Jefferson. I want to meet him while he was young and then have wild and raucous sex with him, then come back in ten years while he's writing the Declaration of Independence and watch, and then pop back in just in time to read his library and use his page-turning device.

Assuming I had a universal translator, so language wasn't a barrier:
I'd want to meet some of the martial arts masters of the middle ages and renaissance, and see if I could get some lessons.
And then learn Elvish from Tolkien.

I'd want to go back to the late 70s/early 80s and meet Carl Sagan in his prime.
As for a particular event...I'd have to go and say the Battle of Chi Bi in China during the Three Kingdoms period.

I'd travel back to meet Galileo in his latter years, just to tell him that he was right after all and that he's a respected figure nowadays. Poor guy never got to see his vindication.
Alternatively, I'd like to tell Henry VIII that his youngest daughter ended up being one of the most popular monarchs in English history, just to see the look on his face.

I'd like to meet two of my favorite writers; William Blake and HP Lovecraft.

I agree with the importance of Nikola Tesla - particularly during his Wardenclyffe days - and to see his electrified Pierce Arrow - was that really zero point energy he was using?
This might seem a bit corny, but I would like to meet Albert Einstein...
