It would be similar to developing a resistance to having your skin melted off. That is to say, it's not entirely impossible (and some viruses like the aforementioned rabies aren't much affected by it), but it would require a gross change of form. So far, we haven't seen much sign of it in pathogens that are susceptible.

Alright, fair enough. I learned something today.
Though I still quite prefer to avoid using it except during a really bad flu season, namely because I want my immune system to be as stronger. And you don't do that by reducing your exposure to bacteria.
Also, Shane, mine's Ethyl Alcohol 62%.

And you don't do that by reducing your exposure to bacteria. Yeah. At the same time people contribute to super-bugs, they are reducing their buildup of natural immunities. Sounds like a good idea, eh?

Sounds like a good idea, eh? Indeed. Fun fact, I never caught the flu this year. In fact, I've barely gotten sick this year, and only 24 hour stuff. The most problem I've had is with allergies. Which seem to be especially prevalent this year.

I do not really get the flu but I've gotten one terrible cold and one that disguises itself as the yearly sniffles.

Oh, it's just an alcohol sanitizer, then I don't care, use it as you please. You made it sound like it had an actual antibiotic in it.

In fairness, I am also a lazy fuck. However, as I've said repeatedly, I'm not going to use it because exposing myself to bacteria is more beneficial to me than not exposing myself to bacteria.

Oh look people who don't understand science are making bad decisions again.
Ironbite-why do we as a country hate educated people again?

They're turning the US agriculture into a breeding ground for new, resistant kinds of bacteria. Because apparently it's cheaper.

Oh look people who don't understand science are making bad decisions again. Ironbite-why do we as a country hate educated people again? Because we are stupid and inherently inferior to Canadians and Europeans. Words cannot describe my rage right now. If a huge plague does eventually happen from this, I say that we will have deserved it.

You mean the Europe that has outlawed many GMOs over pseudoscientific fears and, as a result, is having to rely more and more on imports for food as places like the US outproduce them? The world's a bit more complicated than you seem to believe.

If a huge plague does eventually happen from this, I say that we will have deserved it. Shut up, shut up, just shut THE FUCK UP! */2* And no, I fucking mean it you fucking twit! I've had it up to here with your uber-isolationist, fuck-America-despite-my-living-here ASS! I'm the son and grandson of teachers, I'm PROUD of their taking on the profession of TEACHING kids like me and giving me and others our love for knowledge and learning! Sure, do we tend to lack in areas? Absolutely! You know why? Because what's on the chopping block half the time when cuts are done in government? EDUCATION! How are teachers expected to improve the lives of kids through general fucking knowledge when they get kneecapped?! Brendan, I swear, if I ever, EVER meet you, I am going to verbally rip you in half. Now sit the fuck down and shut the ever-loving-hell up about things you know nothing about.

Didn't realize you could fit a brush that broad onto a standard computer monitor. Care to back up that incredibly broad, blanket condemnation of an entire nation? Or were you just expressing rage/disappointment/sarcasm?
