It's a tumor you insensitive jerk! Those huge eyes are kinda weird. Which is an odd thing for me to say considering how much anime I watch.

So they've released the image of the new Dora. I have to say, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Though, I still think it's a dumb idea. I agree. Yes, Teen Dora is cute and as saccharine-sweet as Barbie. (And she doesn't have such a ridiculously huge head.) But the real reason girls aren't buying up the toys as much is because of the huge disconnect between TV Dora and Mattel Dora. TV Dora is running around in shorts, having adventures with her animal friends and singing annoying, cutesy songs. Mattel Dora wears princess dresses that you can't exactly have adventures in. If Dora the Explorer had been around when I was a kid, it would have been my favorite show. And I also would have hated the "Big Sister Dora*" with a flaming passion. Dora's the ultimate TV tomboy, but Mattel's selling her as a girly-girl. Kids already have a girly-girl doll from Mattel. It's called a Barbie. *Big Sister Dora is not Teen Dora. Big Sister Dora is a doll featuring the original Dora, plus twin sibs. So basically, it's a Dora the Explorer baby doll. Like most tomboys, I was never a fan of baby dolls.
