Thats a rape of the english language The heck? What goes through the minds of people when they write things like this (the thing deimos quoted)? They should try reading what they write out loud, or have some mandatory audio preview so they can see how stupid it sounds.

The people who tend to fill their entire posts with grammar and spelling monstrosities truly don't seem to care. If you correct them on it, even politely, they'll complain, "it doesn't matter." These people, especially in the comments we see on the mainpage anger me the most because their tone suggests that they want you to take them seriously. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to take them seriously when they look completely illiterate. Marc Yeah, this is the main reason why bad grammar and spelling annoy me. I'm generally all for linguistic descriptivism (the idea that different forms of language should not be treated as right or wrong), but on the internet there's often a correlation between how much thought someone puts into their posts and how good their grammar is. It's not that misspelling is "wrong" so much as it's a red flag for "I don't care about communicating clearly or thinking before I post." There are exceptions, of course, but those people are pretty uncommon. And yes, good grammar and spelling do matter, even on internet forums, because different writing styles are appropriate for different contexts. If you use a writing style (like lolspeak) outside of its accepted environment, people will judge you. That's just basic Social Skills 101.
