I want to know how they are going to explain keeping the girl away from the birthday party - "I'm sorry honey, you can't go because your unclean and will scare the children. If you'd just straighten up and fly right, things would be better for you." If she is accepting of someone bi, does that make her rapture "unready"? -I personally like this one...

It just means she'll be banned within the fort night unless she runs her daughter out of town and/or the state.

Actually, one thing did impress me a lot there. The stepmom said the girl's sexual orientation would not stop stepmom from loving stepdaughter. While she may not agree with the chioces, the love would never waiver. Pretty cool on her part, especially when you consider it's RR. From experience, that sort of love may not be real love. I'm gonna have to side with Vene on this one. And believe me, I am ashamed of that. It's great that she's not disowning her kid & all, but I don't see how [constantly] "reminding" her daughter that she "dosn't approve" is much better.

Ah, *sigh*, the sort of love that can beat a body until the pesky debil done leave it alone.
The sort of love that wants the family to die together (remind me again - why do they call it 'rapture'?).

Because calling it "Flying Naked Through The Sky To Meet My Imaginary Friend" is too long.

From experience, that sort of love may not be real love. Yeah, it's mostly "'tolerate' and nag, nag, nag until the little snot finally sees things our way and converts hallelujah praise the Lord" In all fairness, this is more of a general fundie belief than a belief on how to treat those that caught the gay

Every time I hear something like this, I get a little movie of me playing Call of Duty in my head. I have absolutely NO idea why, either. Maybe its my brain trying to escape the stupid through violence.
