A couple nights ago I saw the remake of Halloween 2 in the theater. Rob Zombie pretty much butchered it, adding a whole new dimension to Michael Myers as a child. The original Halloween movies (1 and 2) were amazing, partly because Jamie Lee Curtis was such a likeable protagonist, partly because of good direction, music, etc. In the new movie, the girl who plays Laurie Strode is not fit for the part. It angers me to no end. That's the main reason horror movies these days have gone downhill. They'll have an airhead playing the poor, helpless girl who the murderer is after. She's so stupid that you end up wanting her dead in the end. What's the point?

Don't forget all the other pointless shit that was added to the Halloween remakes such as an upped body count and backstory to Micheal Myers.
The knowing nothing about him or his past was what made him such a likeable character. Makes you wonder who is the man behind the mask and what are his motives.

I watched I Love You Man last night. I loved it. I love Paul Rudd as well. But I hated his character in the movie

The Secret Life of Bees. It's one of my all time favorite books, and they did a really good job of capturing the characters and sticking to the book's plot line. Excellent movie.

I could say I watched Mean Girls in media studies. But as I tried to watch it once before and couldn't because it was just so awful I sat on my ass the whole time the movie was playing listening to music and reading.

Deception(1946) I taped it off of TCM last week. It has both Bette Davis & Claude Rains in it. I enjoyed it.

The Day After Tomorrow. I liked it. I'm kind of a sucker for disaster movies. Not sure just how realistic it is though that an ice age would happen within a matter of days. Plus Jake Gyllenhaal is cute.Last movie I watched was Yes Man. I love that movie. That's my next one; just gotta pick it up from the library.

I saw Inglorious Basterds today, what an sweet movie that was. I loved the whole alternative history concept of WW2(probably because I'm a history geek and the WW2 Era is one of my favorite periods), and Brad Pitt's hick accent.

I saw My Best Friend with my dad last night. I had seen it before but he hadn't. It's directed by Patrice Leconte, who directed his favourite movie (Monsieur Hire). He liked it more than I thought.

Just finished watching Mezzo Forte and it was pretty damn awesome.
Anime crime-drama movie set in the not so distant future Japan. Althought he only thing futuristic about it was the three robots.
