Ravenous. Half my namesake. I love this movie, hilarity and cannibalism all in one convenient package.

Gamer and Surrogates this weekend.
Neither was particularly spectacular, but both were satisfying.
Gamer is kind of a neat take on "The Running Man"

This last wee while...
Battle Royale: Pretty much exactly what I was expecting. Pretty well made, if a little on the "look how fucking MAD!!!!!111! we are" side of things. American Psycho (again). Excellent work all round. A solid adaptation of some pretty tricky material. Zombieland. Thoroughly entertaining utter nonsense. The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada: Enjoyable, Peckinpah-esque film. The Spirit. Utter fucking plums.

Zombieland. Got a perfect copy downloaded and on to my PS3 Great movie, Zombieland. The one I watched was poor quality. Stilll loved it though. I watched Wrong Turn 3 the other night for shits and giggles. It was godawful.

I just picked up Zombieland as well. Awesome movie but way too short. I could've watched another 30 minutes of them fighting zombies.
I wonder if any of the creators played Left 4 Dead 2 because the two have a lot of similarities. The horde in both make the same noise, Zombieland's climax takes place at an amusement park, there's a fight on a roller coaster track (that looked a hell of a lot more fun than the one in L4D2), and even a zombie clown.

Probably my single most favorite anime movie of all time: Vampire Hunter D. If you like anime and haven't seen it, then watch it. Now.

Actually, my name is a somewhat modified portmanteau of Ravenous and Vampire Hunter D.

Gamer is kind of a neat take on "The Running Man" hisses Gamer is nothing like The Running Man, it is like the movie adaptation which is an abomination and a complete bastardization of Stephen King's greatest Bachman book.

District 9. It's kind of like Avatar, only with about a thousand times less wankery and cultural imperialism.

District 9. It's kind of like Avatar, only with about a thousand times less wankery and cultural imperialism. and is less about environmentalism and more about 'human' rights and the the 'inhumanity' that humans practice on others. Theme wise District 9 was 10 times the movie Avatar was, but Avatar wins hands down for visuals and ease of story flow - that pseodo documentary jerky camera style is always more difficult on the audience's suspension of disbelief. My 2 cents anyway Probably my single most favorite anime movie of all time: Vampire Hunter D. If you like anime and haven't seen it, then watch it. Now. I has a sequel that isn't quite as good IMO but still interesting and of course still has D in it.

Over the past few days I've watched a lot of movies because there really hasn't been a whole lot else to do. Fame- Not the best movie I've ever seen, but it held my attention well enough. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs I was neutral on this one- it wasn't godawful but it definitely wasn't... good. I found it a bit boring, to be honest. The Picture of Dorian Gray- 2009 British movie I downloaded. It was quite bad, but there was this (NSFW). That almost made the two-day download time worth it. Dasepo Girls- Weird-ass Korean movie that I actually liked. It's very pink. And random.
