Am I blind? Or did Canada not even make the list? See there should be another poll of whether other countries believe in canada.

Point of clarification - that study was about which area of the UK believed most in creationism, only. Not the world.

Am I blind? Or did Canada not even make the list? No, you're not blind, it's not on the list. Cailinbann, Canada's part of the Commonwealth, and even funnier, we have a Governor General that's appointed by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister. I guess that means that there are plenty who want to believe in divine intervention, moreso than the US. Canadians are probably just not as vocal about it, seeing as the US has its fingers in just about everyone's TV reception.

You know we had a war over whether the monarch was chosen by god or not? The result was a resounding "no"

So, does that the US is now officially smarter than NI and Turkey? the U.S. (where I live) and Lithuania (where my grandparents are from) are on the lower part of the list. Why are both of the countries so low? I always thought I'd go to Lithuania if things got too bad in the US... at least it's slightly higher. ...Now I am depressed.

The ancestry of much of America's hillbillies and rednecks can be traced to Northern Ireland.

That's true. And if you care to delve into "Ulster Scots" culture far enough, you'll find claims that they actually invented blues. I wish i was making this up.

And having to live here, I can only confirm what's said above. If it's any small consolation, it does breed some pretty virulent antifundies too. Mar Thusa?

The result was a resounding "no" What it was supposed to mean that Canada should have appeared on the list, if this was a survey of "UK countries." Unless there are more people who believe in divine intervention, it's just that Canadians likely aren't as pushy and vocal about it as the US. Sorry for the late reply.

What it was supposed to mean that Canada should have appeared on the list, if this was a survey of "UK countries." Commonwealth countries are not counted as part of the United Kingdom. The only countries that are in the UK are Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Isle of Man and the channel Islands, whilst supposedly under the UK's military protection (makes the Channel Islands' invasion by the Nazis in WWII even more sucky) they are not actual members of the UK.
