I realise that my own genitals are the only ones I've ever seen. I did not know seeing nudity as a kid was normal.

Apparently, also being so bored with everyone around you to the point you just fall the hell asleep seems to be ... abnormal. They thought I had a sleep problem...the only thing that could be considered a problem is "abnormal daytime sleepiness."

Except, 25 years ago, it was perfectly acceptable for me to be running around naked as an under 5.

....you're her 6 year old brother? No, but I was six at one point...And the story's all the same. How did they get from child nudity to gay marriage? Naked=sex. That's basically all you need to assume to make their reasoning make sense. Of course, then you have the problem getting the "naked=sex" part to make sense. I mean, you could hit yourself in the head, but I'm not sure the head trauma is worth it. I get the idea that biologists are somewhat the same way, at least, those who do anything with anatomy. Seriously, a nude body, big deal, I've seen naked dead people. Naked dead people with their innards hanging out. So you're a necrophiliac? I keed, I keed. There were before I showed up and scared them all away. Seriously, they're out there. It just takes a bit of looking and, more than likely, some good walking shoes to find them. Are you the dude who showed up in Brattleboro and spoiled the nudity for us? I have to say that nudity turns me on. But only if they're hot. Seeing non-sexy naked people doesn't make me think of sex. But I did take showers with both parents until I was 8 or so. On that topic, my brother(same one mentioned before) took a shower with Mom and her sister. That would have traumatized me. Religious folks, mostly the ones already carrying things too far, tend to have this issue with sorting out their own sexual feelings. Or sexuality in general. And often, just plain healthy relationships in general.

I'm not really shocked by this, pretty much because I'm desensitized to just about anything on RR. My opinion on the subject aside, it's nothing new.
Now something open-minded that makes sense coming from RR would shock me.

AFAIK Rapture Forums is slightly nuttier than RR though they share some members.

I fail to see the harm in nudity. I'm guessing that the RR members think if a child sees nudity, he will go home and say, "Mommy, what's a boobie for?" or something similar and the parent doesn't want to explain anything. Or the parent will go off on the whole "YOU SHOULDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SEX BECAUSE IT'S BAD AND WILL MAKE YOU EVIL AND SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN UNTIL MARRIAGE BUT ONLY STRAIGHT MARRIAGE" rant.

Y'know, kids do see themselves naked in the mirror and by looking down in the shower/bath.
Anyway, I'm tired of these people trying to force family friendly entertainment on everyone. I have no kids, I live on my own and there's no chance of children stumbling on my DVD collection, video games or computer. Why should I have to stop watching things I find entertaining that, while certainly not for most people, are perfectly legal?
Also, what about babysitters? What are they supposed to do if the baby needs a diaper change?!

Lewis Black had it right when he mentioned the Super Bowl (Panthers/Pats) when America lost its mind. I bet many of these types forgot their childhoods. What do boys want to see more than anything else?
They want to see a TIT. I know my childhood was like that. That, sadly, is lost to most of the religious right, even as they hide their indiscretions in the hope that no one will notice.

I've always wondered why conservatives accuse liberals of wanting a nanny state. Conservatives want a nanny state, just with rules they like.
