I fail to see the harm in nudity. I'm guessing that the RR members think if a child sees nudity, he will go home and say, "Mommy, what's a boobie for?" I have a hard time imagining the kind of person who would answer that with "sex." Oh so do I, but fundies are the ones who love to sexualize everything. Nudity? SEX. V-neck top? SEX. Necklace? ZOMG SEX.

Anyway, I'm tired of these people trying to force family friendly entertainment on everyone. I have no kids, I live on my own and there's no chance of children stumbling on my DVD collection, video games or computer. Why should I have to stop watching things I find entertaining that, while certainly not for most people, are perfectly legal? I've always wondered why conservatives accuse liberals of wanting a nanny state. Conservatives want a nanny state, just with rules they like. It is called projection, coupled with several other cognitive biases. Simply put, you could say it is doublethink. What a lot of the religious conservative crowd want is the freedom to tell others what is acceptable or not, and not for anyone else to tell them.

You know what, and they're probably the same fucktards who bring their little boys into the women's restrooms. Yeah, I went there. But that shit pisses me off too. Your kid shouldn't need mommy holding his hand while he goes potty. Stupid attachment parenting...

At a certain age that's just fine. I don't think it's a very good idea to let a three year old out of your sight in a public place, which includes the restroom.
ETA: Besides, what harm could a little boy cause that a little girl can't?

But, IN the stall with them?? Also, if it's a boy and the dad is with then they can take them into the men's rooms. I've heard so many horror stories about kids peeking into the stall someone else was in that if I happen to use the bathroom at work and some little kids come in (which after the last time I avoid like the plague anymore--I don't need a play-by-play commentary of your kids' bathroom habits, and I certainly didn't need to hear you both leave without either of you washing your hands afterward! D:) or any public bathroom it makes my skin crawl. X(

Well, yes, of course if the father is present, then he should take the boy(s) in the restroom with him. But it sounds like the issue is more of how the kids are treated in there, not that there are kids in the restroom.

Wouldn't kids peeking into stalls be an argument for having the parents go with them?
Also, divorced parents, so... yeah.

I have a hard time imagining the kind of person who would answer that with "sex." I asked that question when I was 8 and was told it was for nursing a child after it was born by my evil, non fundamentalist, might have been christian but more likely agnostic that thought sex was a ok as long as you used protection and were responsible mother. Oh the evil heathen horror, no?

Lewis Black had it right when he mentioned the Super Bowl (Panthers/Pats) when America lost its mind. I bet many of these types forgot their childhoods. What do boys want to see more than anything else? They want to see a TIT. I know my childhood was like that. That, sadly, is lost to most of the religious right, even as they hide their indiscretions in the hope that no one will notice. I always figured they went nuts because they were mad they'd never get to play with such a nice boobie, or jealous that they didn't have nice boobies

Goddammit. Not everything is for/about kids. GAH!! I can't help but harbour rather unpleasant suspicions of people who are that fixated on children.

I think it's gross when mothers bring their kids into the stall with them. I'd just make them lean against the stall door on the outside.
