I really wanted to learn sax. I grew up on a lot of 50s music and blues, so I loved it. My hands imitated each other so bad that I couldn't do it. I might be able to get away with it now, but even with guitar, I can only really play because I can keep one hand relatively motionless.

I played the clarinet in the fourth grade. Also, in my high school, the band kids were some of the most popular kids in school. Clearly, I went to the wrong school.

It was the same at my high school. The marching band was nationally recognized. Like half the school was in it.

I don't play anything fancy, but I'm part of the Afro-Cuban drumming group at school (we get a lot of options for music), so I play conga, cowbell, and agogĂ´. However, I don't really have a sense of rhythm.

Yeah, I know that it's pretty much the opposite of like every school. The band geek designation didn't exist.

I have a drum kit, it's hard practicing it though. Housing slightly overcrowded.

I played violin for six years. I quit a couple years ago due to lack of interest. I still know how though. My violin is in my closet.

The sandman is passable on the bagpipes, and a virtuoso on the ukulele.

I played the clarinet in middle school, and I almost wish I had stayed with it, but oh well, I had visual arts more on my mind. I'm currently trying to teach myself the piano, though.

I used to play keyboard for a few years but I wasn't much good so I quit. And when I say "not much good" I mean "Had a hard time bringing in the left hand section."

Ten years of piano, and counting. I can't improvise anything, thought. I can learn something new if I've got the music for it, but can't make up any new music myself.
I tried the violin once. It sounded like a mad ashmatic cat was beeing raped by a hyena on my shoulder. So I handed it back to my friend and never touched it again. Seriously, I'm much more scared of handling a violin than a baby now, even though they make seriously nice music.
Did a bit of drums too.

So yesterday I went dumpster diving at the university with my band director and a few other band people, and I ended up with a keyboard! We were in the one guy's truck and three of us were sitting in the back; we were at one res. hall when someone yelled at us out a window, Hey Chevy pickup! You guys want a keyboard? We were just leaving and I went YES YES YES!!! *flail* and they brought it out to us. It was epic. ;D I have yet to bring it in and find out if it works though as it's raining and I don't want it to get wet....
