Yahoo answers is the depth of stupidity. I know guys who go on there just to troll. A couple of them are in one of my classes asking questions and leaving answers and giggling the whole time. It's annoying, but it shows what mentality people on there have.
If you want real answers, go to a real source. Oh, and your professors are your intellectual superiors, respect them.

I'm just going to butt in here and say that just because someone is a professor/teacher does NOT mean they know what they are talking about. I, myself, have corrected teachers in the past for blindly teaching out of the book even when the book is patently wrong (mostly math courses because I could prove my point extremely easily), and my father has a few amusing tales of a few instructors who really should never have gotten the job. One example would be the teacher who tried to convince the class that the reason some airplanes continually correct themselves downward is because if they didn't they would fly straight off into outer space.
Seriously! He believed that sack of dumbfuckery!
Additionally, wouldn't we agree that any professor/teacher/instructor who chooses to advocate creationism in a science classroom is NOT your intellectual superior in that and probably other areas?
Respect the position, yes, but that doesn't mean you have to respect the person if they utterly fail to earn it.

But you're not using Yahoo answers to challenge your teacher.

I admit I must concede that point entirely. I would not wish that level of sink even on my most virulently fact-phobic instructors.

What do I think?
From the moment they use their attack words to label people i think they're morons that aren't asking questions, just finding a way to rant for everyone to see

I asked a question at Yahoo answers once.
My neutered dog had humped and ejaculated on his pillow. Okay the fact that my neutered dogs are perverts is something I've just learned to live with, but the ejaculation worried me (he really loves his new pillow).
I was told I was a pervert, that it could never happen, and the question was deleted, I'm assuming because it was offensive. I had to wait until Monday to get an answer from my vet, but at least he didn't freak out on me.

If you asked that in the religious section, no wonder.
Which makes me laugh, I've read a question there before along the lines of "Why do Atheists ruin the religious section?" One of the replies stated if religious nuts could feel free to fill up the gay, science, or politics section, then why can't atheists fill up the religious section" Needless to say it was just a flame list after that about how atheists are evil, clearly demonstrated of course by the mean religious replies. Yahoo answers is the place to go for pure stupid. It doesn't do much but make dumb people feel important and everyone else facepalm so much their nose meets the back of their head

Aren't we a religion, according to them anyway?

Most people on answers either don't know what they are talking about, or are too brainwashed for their own good.

The vast, vast, vast majority of religious "questions" asked on Yahoo answers are not questions at all; they are blatant leads to specific, pre-determined "answers" that push the OPs viewpoint.
