The Unitied States and Russia have agreed on the first major arms treaty in more then 20 years. The treaty will effectivey cut the number of nuclear missiles and launchers for both country by 1/3. I would say that our current adminitration is on a roll! www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/03/26/start.treaty/index.html?hpt=T1

Wonder how much that'll save in administration and maintenance costs.

Yeah, take the nukes and use them to build nuclear reactors. Creates jobs, and would probably help on your electric bill.

I have Ginny Brown-WaiteOne of my Senators is George LeMieux. Not to mention that Bob McCollum the idiot state Attorney General is most likely going to be our next governor. You might know him since he is leaking the charge to get health care reform struck down by the courts.

I want to hear the voice of the opposition. I could use a laugh. You will. .......because the GOP may try and block the treaty from being ratified. It looks like they are simply going to block every thing and anything at this point.

I get the feeling that in reality this'll just be a "lie about the size of your nuke stockpile" treaty for both parties.

They're convinced america will appear weak without a huge nuclear arsenal deterrent. At least, that's been the usual argument over the last forty years. There'll probably be something about Obama selling out the country to the russians, too.

Oh noes, now how can we blow up the world 800 times instead of just 500 times?

Yeah, take the nukes and use them to build nuclear reactors. Creates jobs, and would probably help on your electric bill. Except that NO YOU CANNOT HAS NUCLEAR POWER. If it isn't hugely and pointlessly expensive and ridiculously inefficient, the enviro-spastics wont let you have it. Better we turn thousands of square miles of perfectly good land into a huge fuckoff windfarm than build one nuclear power plant to do the same job. ZOMG UR KILLIN THE PLANET! They'd probably whine if we got nuclear fusion working too. We'd have to make sure all our deuterium had been "ethically treated" or some wank
