Right.... This fucking autologout shit is infuriating as all fuck!
You make a forum post and go to submit it, and if you've been on for a while and you've been logged out in the background, you get routed to the page that says you've been logged out and on IE backspace doesn't go back to the page with your text, but the blank quoted part of the thread you started replying to.
Lost one or two and it wasn't too bad even though of course the probability of it happening increases the more time you spend on a post. This one's annoying as all fuck, possibly because it's happened AGAIN.
Is there a logon timer we can use to warn you? Is there a way where the page can remember your text?
-------------------------------
Please explain what everyone else does because I seem to be the only one complaining about this? Do people select a longer period of time?

Selecting forever works fine for me.

There's a drop-down menu on the log-in page that allows you to log in for a certain amount of time, or forever.

Is there a way where the page can remember your text? www.opera.com/browser/next/Opera doesn't delete what you've written if you go back to a page like that. It saves a lot of frustration. It's better than IE in almost every way.

Firefox remembers it too. Why the hell are you still using IE?

IE sucks. Firefox is much, much better.

IE sucks. Firefox is much, much better. I'd argue this but I'd rather not start a flame war. IE gets my vote because it handles CSS floats logically in a state not defined by the standard. But constructive input: www.ie7pro.com/It's like the lord of feature bloat, so odds are what ever you want is in there somewhere, but amusingly enough the one thing most people want(ad blocking) is turned off by default. If you want any help messing with it I may be of some use, but I've avoid screwing with it more than I have to.

Chrome saves it as well so long as there's no form input to remember in between such that it would have to completely reload. I've never had a problem, and Chrome is the only way I get here.

Ok, I dunno why, but lately i'm getting the auto log out alot even when using forever. It's not a big deal, just annoying. It's been doing that ever since my browser updated

I found out the issue. Seems some people had corrupted cookie files installed on their comps when firefox updated to version 3. The tip is, for anyone reading this, locate the cookie file and delete it, then restart firefox, problem solved

Chrome FTW. Only thing I miss is the option to disable page styles that Mozilla had (or does Chrome have it yet? lol.) Then again, this is why I no longer have a MySpace.
