I've been playing computer games since Sinclair ZX81 (1981, incidentally). It's been a wild ride, seeing how this particular art form has developed over the years.
These days I don't have nearly enough time for games, but when I find a moment, I tend to gravitate towards Co-op modes of Xbox 360 and PS3 games.

I just got my copy of Heroes 3 from home and brought it back to school with me. I've been playing it not stop for the past few days.
I also bought a busted copy of Mario Party for the Nintendo 64. I'm so P.O.'d. I was really excited to play it, too.

Well I'm into month 5 of what could possibly be described as a WoW addiction. I'm o only slightly ashamed of it.
I need to find something else to play soon so I can stop watching so much TV. I was thinking of booting up Earthbound again but I can't find my SNES.
On the indie game front, I really enjoyed Braid for XBLA. Anyone else have the chance to play it?

I just play them on the PC, no time or money for a gaming system. I'd love a Wii, though. The only game I really play is Sim City.

My brother recently bought Sonic Unleashed. It would be pretty good if the night stages weren't there. Of course, the fact that all cutscenes are skippable the first play-through helps tremendously.
Once my finances are in better shape than they have been lately, I'm getting Castle Crashers. I played it at a friend's house the other week, and my life will not be complete until I have it.

Have you considered an emulator? HEATHEN!! ;P Hey, for Earthbound I would step over my own mother. Well. Maybe not. I love my mom. But definitely over my second-favorite brother.

I have considered an emulator. However, our main computer is a mac and the emulators I've had for it have been rather wonky. I tried playing Mother 3 and it lost all my saves.

Got to fiddling around with Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 earlier today in order to vent.
Figured out that if you play as the Allies, you can use the Chronosphere (a teleportation device) to pick up enemy units and drop them in inconvenient locations. Actually ended up dropping some enemy tanks in a river just for the heck of it.

<--- Is still playing Starcraft and Diablo II Waiting for those idiots at Blizzard to get their asses in gear and finish up with Starcraft II and Diablo III. It's been what? Over ten years since they were first released. What the fuck is taking so long?

I picked up Rainbow Six Vegas 2 last week. It's a fun shooter with a lot of strategy, since you have to find different ways to assault your opponents. It's very easy to die, so stealth is important in this game. What I really like, though, is you have multiple ways of tackling each obstacle, whether it's killing everyone in a room or clearing a rooftop. Since you command a 2-man squad, you can try different tactics when taking out foes (sending them in first, and when the opponents turn their backs, blowing up the door behind them, for example.)
I did have a rather 'brilliant' moment, the other day. We had just taken out a room, and after sending my squad outside, I jumped through the far-right window and climbed onto the rooftop. After clearing everyone there, I passed a sky-light. I walked to the edge of the roof-top and noticed a lower level with a door. I decided to send my squad to the door while I'd go through the skylight. So, I spent the next 15 minutes planning said assault and maneuvering my squad into position at the door.
Assault time! I threw a grenade through the sky-light, and right after the explosion, I sent my squad in. I then stepped back and prepared to jump through the sky-light. The only problem is I didn't hear any shooting for shouting from the room below. That's strange, but maybe they'll spawn once I enter the room. I rapelled through the skylight and immediately hid behind some crates. When no one shot at me, I looked up and around.
My sqaud was just standing there looking at me, and no one else was in the room. I saw the door they had entered from and noticed that you couldn't see this back door if you had entered through one of the other doors or the windows. I also noticed that you couldn't see the skylight unless you were right under it looking straight up. Finally, I noticed that the far right window was broken.
That's right...I had just spent 15 minutes planning and later assaulting a room that we had already cleared out minutes earlier. Complete and total DOH!
Take care,
Jay

On one of the first Rainbow 6 games, I inadvertently wiped out half of my own team with a frag grenade. I was running the "underwater laboratory" skirmish map. As the entrance point branched off in four different directions, I left half my team back there to guard the place while I split everyone else up to go scouting. I didn't realize that the corridors tended to double back on each other in that first section, and so when I came to what looked like a nice open area I noted some heart beats and so lobbed a grenade.

Seriously, if DNF is ever actually released, I will start looking for the Four Horsemen. I honestly begin to wonder if the last word in the title is the sign of an elaborate prank being played on us.
