For me I kinda find it insulting if some right-wing gun nut say I'm some sort of wimp too cowardly to own weapons.
Personally if I had the money, I would decorate a basement or second garage with swords, spears, and guns that will make even the most outspoken gun nut think I'm crazy.
Basically if I had the money I would take their attitude and exaggerate it just for laughs.

Uh huh, and what are you going to do about a M1 Abrams? Also, learn some more about history, preferably about a certain war in the middle of the 19th century. Perhaps he should learn more about warfare during 21st century rather than something from time when warfare was mostly standing in line and getting shot. And M1 can be stopped with an reasonably well-made IED. Hell, even a molotov in the right place would Hell worlder, if I had the money i'd have a garage stuffed with 19th century cannons

Atheist here, and I don't have a problem with people owning guns, as long as the person doesn't have a history of felonies or mental problems. The problem isn't guns, but people being stupid/violent/irresponsible, and that will never go away.

Fun fact: Nunchaku are illegal to carry in public in my state, despite the fact that they are literally just two sticks tied together with a short length of string (or chain) and do less damage that a baseball bat.

Fun Fact: grenade launchers and adapters to launch golf/tennis balls are legal and considered 'Recreational devices' by the BATFE, grenades are not

I'd love to own a pink pistol, but I don't know where to buy one in my town.

I'd love to own a pink pistol, but I don't know where to buy one in my town. Stage 1: Buy a cheap pistol and a can of pink paint. Stage 2: Paint the gun pink. Stage 3: Post pics to this thread.

Spray paint would likely cause too much trouble with gluing or gumming together parts that shouldn't be glued or gummed together. A 1" brush head with a second detail brush head and a small can of modeler's paint would actually be a better choice, as said resulting gun should still be quite functional. Alternatively, depending on where you live (there are a few in Chicago, at least) there are some gun shops that will do "girl gun" colors for free, in an attempt to bring more women into the fold. They'll do the painting and detailing on an expert level without the risk to damaging the gun. However, Stage 3 of aaa's post remains the same: let us see the end results, if you do something like this!

Is it illegal to build your own sentry gun from a pistol as well programming it yourself? *drools* iGunNut/Gun Pal 2.0 ;D Would be the (il)logical conclusion of how to put my hypothetical oversized collection to use. Alternatively I could put it on a RC car or helicopter.

Those are terrible weapons. Unless you have spent years training with them, nunchaku are often worse than no weapon. Even if you HAVE been training that long you're probably just as good with your fists and feet. That being said, it is extremely amusing to watch morons who hold a mistaken belief that they are Bruce Lee whack themselves in the testicles.
