Unlike most engineers, Andy Schlafy is not credit to team. NICE!

Salem hypothesis: Of the population of creationists (and cdesign proponentsists) with degrees, an overwhelming majority is engineers. Also, shameless plug. It be a deconstruction of a similar list of alleged scientific facts in the Bible. I took a crack at that on a Fundie forum myself. I felt like I said, "This doesn't even have to do with science" for at least half of the list. All of it was promptly ignored. So I'll be sure to comment on yours, if I can.

Someone did a Youtube video about this. I can't remember who did it, I'll see if I can find it anyway. They did a quiz format where they posted the Bible verse and gave multiple choice options to guess which scientific achievement Conservapedia thinks the Bible verse "predicts." I didn't do very well. I think the same thing could be done with the Biblical prophecies. They are all so vague and some of the examples I've seen are so vague I really don't see how the connection could be made. But that is the nature of a book that means whatever the believer wants it to mean.

NonStampCollector maybe? I know he does quiz show youtube videos with poorly animated stick figures. Voice acting's pretty good though.

I'm hardly an expert in quantum mechanics, but even I can see how truly lacking Schlafly's grasp of the field is. Not to mention that if Jesus used the laws of physics to perform his miracles, then they're not really miracles, are they?
I almost feel sorry for this guy. He honestly believes that he's highly intelligent and well-educated, which shows such an astounding lack of self-awareness that one wonders if he can even be blamed for spewing such idiocy. If he wasn't such an asshole, I wouldn't even be able to bring myself to dislike the poor bastard.

Unlike most engineers, Andy Schlafy is not credit to team. I don't know, one of the managers at work is an engineer, he's terrible and has actively suppressed quality assurance's ability to, you know, make sure the produce we ship out won't make people sick.

Does he realize that the cost of a little extra time to make sure the product is good would be minimal compared to lawsuits launched by angry sick people? Plus the reputation of the company. Sounds like the dude's brain was poorly engineered.

Short term thinking is how most businesses are run, sadly.

He said most engineers, not all. Even smart people can be assholes.

Well, he should care because of the potential danger to public health, which matters a lot more than his resume. Not that these kinds of things factor into the decisions of selfish pricks, of course.
