I am a horror movie junkie. It may be one of the lesser genres, but I just can't get enough of these flicks. I'm always open to watching now ones, so I'm hoping that there are some horror fans on here who can recommend some good films. I tend to like psychological horror, creepy supernatural flicks (especially Asian horrors, or those inspired by them/those that have that kind of vibe), Blair Witch style camcorder films, dark/twisted humour (like Trick 'r Treat), realistic situations (Open Water, etc.) and slasher flicks that rely more on atmosphere than gore, or have a unique twist (e.g., Haute Tension). I'm open to other styles, however. Doesn't have to specifically be horror, either. Thrillers and suspense are just as good.
So, yeah -- what are you favourite horror films? And can anyone recommend some lesser known, but well-made and not too obscure (ones that I can actually find) flicks?
Movies I've seen recently that were decent: Hard Candy, A Tale of Two Sisters (the original Korean version), Mr. Brooks, Eden Lake, Trick 'r Treat, In My Sleep, Acolytes, All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, Awake.
Any other horror fans out there?

The Thing is one of my favorite movies, horror or otherwise. When one of the tamest scenes involving the monster is a head growing spider legs and skittering off... Works off paranoia big time. The acting is solid, and there are scenes where the actors look like they're legitimately shitting themselves in terror.
The Gate is corny, but overall decent, IMO.
The Evil Dead trilogy. I mean, Bruce Campbell. How can you go wrong?
Idle Hands is pretty good. "Idle hands are the devil's playground" is the source of the name of the movie. It's a comedic horror and there is a fair bit of black humor.

Ohhh Eden Lake is awesome. A fairly good camcorder film is the original [REC]. It was remade as Quarantine but that sucks. Another great camcorder was Diary Of The Dead

I love horror movies, though I can't think of any obscure ones. Some of my favorites are:
The Grudge films (first 2; third was terrible)
The Ring (first)
SAW (all but 3 and 7)
The Changeling
Jacob's Ladder
The Others
Flatliners

I'm rather fond of Carved, as it stars on of my favourite Japanese monsters.

I liked Teeth, which is about vagina dentata, although it was kinda campy and the lead looks like a friend of mine. Still, penile excision. There is little that's more horrible.

Session 9 is a bit obscure, and falls more in to psychological thriller than horror. Everything else I can think of has been suggested or are the so bad it's good, type of movie, or are bad movies that are just fun to snark on.

Session 9 is properly good. I highly recommend it.
There's more than a few mad films by Dario Argento that are well worth a look by any standard, as even the less scary ones just look amazing.
More modern: I'm a big fan of "My Little Eye", but your mileage may vary. "ils" is a great French film, as is "Martyrs", which actually left me a little wobbly for a day or two.

^^ I find that European horror films are way creepier than most Hollywood productions. The original version of The Orphanage was creepy, as were Let the Right One In and Haute Tension (Spanish, Swedish and French, respectively). I actually had a copy of Martyrs on my computer a while back, but never got to watch it because I had to reinstall install windows. Ah, I'd completely forgotten about [REC]. I've seen Quarantine, but never got around to watching the original. The doctor and the rapist both had it coming, though. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
