Since reading this thread, I'm begining to think that it may be the heterosexuals who are the minority, with most bisexuals unwilling to admit to it. That's one of the many many reasons I love coming here. There is an extreme amount of diversity

Well, I'm hetero. Perhaps I am in the minority, but since I love bi women, I don't care in the slightest.

I'm also not shy about what I am, at least online; in person I'm hesitant to open up about it, but that's cause I know there can be direct repercussions from doing so and I want to avoid those. This. The concept of being open is quite frightening. Since reading this thread, I'm begining to think that it may be the heterosexuals who are the minority, with most bisexuals unwilling to admit to it. I wonder if this means we're going to see "straight pride" parades sometime in the future... God, I hope not. You guys are soooo tacky. But don't worry...I'll support straight rights...Provided you don't flaunt or parade yourselves around.

I think the amount of diversity is here because 'mainstream religion' isn't too kind to those of 'non-mainstream sexuality', whereas atheism, agnosticism, and the other non-mainstream belief systems are more accepting and/or suitable.
I could also be full of sh*t saying this.

I could also be full of sh*t saying this. If you are, then so am I, because that was my theory exactly! I'm a bit surprised and delighted by all the bisexuals here, though. I don't normally see this many outside of an actual group designated for bisexuals. Usually I'm an odd duck among a bunch of gay men!

I could also be full of sh*t saying this. Speaking personally, one of my big jumping off points with religion was simply my sexuality and gender identity. I still can't understand the concept of a loving God who would condemn you for the way He made you.

It's just a matter of how gay you are.

Bi, but I prefer the phrase 'gender blind'.

Hetero here, but wouldn't mind hitting Bridget or a very good looking mtf crossdresser. Perhaps its the hormones, I am not yet sure.

I wonder if this means we're going to see "straight pride" parades sometime in the future... You mean... like this? link, linkI've only recently become familiar with Reggae/Ragga and its politics recently cos I've a good (albeit new) mate who loves the stuff. Some of the music is interesting for its history as a way of opposing oppression, but plenty of anti-gay reggae exists and according to my friend few people new to the scene can tell the difference lyrically and praise whatever catches their ear. Brooklyn's Straight Parade? As if that's going to be any fun. A bunch of middle aged white women out of breath clinging to their balding husbands.
