Is there a Korean team?
If so, then I have a pretty good guess who the winning team will be.
(I kid.)

Is there a Korean team? If so, then I have a pretty good guess who the winning team will be. (I kid.) Actually, no. There were 2 Asian teams in the championships, Team Pacific from the Philippines, and Xan from Singapore. Both teams were eliminated in the qualifying matches on the first day, placing last in their respective groups. Team Pacific didn't win a single of their 3 qualifying games. Xan won one game, matching records with gamed!de from Germany. However, one of their two losses was to gamed!de, putting them ahead of Xan in standing, and thus Xan in last place. The overall winners were FnaticMSI from the EU, winning a weighted best of 3 against Against All Authority from France in the grand finals. aAa took 2nd place, and third went to Team SoloMid from the USA. There were a lot of incredible matches, and I have a lot of new respect for some of the champions you rarely see (like Gragas) that showed themselves to be real powerhouses in the right hands. I was personally rooting for TSM. They've always been one of my favorite established teams. But Fnatic really earned the win, just totally wrecking face the entire 2nd and 3rd day (one of their members had a delayed flight and so missed the qualifiers on the first day, however their backup performed well enough to keep them in the tournament).

Well I ment to reply to this topic when it first showed up but yes...I do play LoL. With the Spoony Vent folks. Who you don't want to play with. Ever. We've got one guy who thinks he knows everything, another guy who's so stoned he does stupid shit that works. Another guy who never ever leaves his lane and gets pissed when you don't help him die and feed the other team and yeah....you don't wanna play with us. Arrow tried and yeah...bad experience.
As for me...when I was playing before my computer borked its own power cord, I was trying out Rammus. Really liked him. But Alas I won't be playing him till I get the IP for him. I'm more of a Himerdinger player though. Laying down turrets and shooting out rockets is just awesome in the end game when you've got everything maxed out and can sit in somebody's base and give your team a place to fall back to that's not their base.
Ironbite-also love Caitlyn too and I'm a decent Warwick player too.

Also Yae, if you're willing to brave the dumbasity that is Dr. Fredthedragon and the douchebaggery that is Streetwraith, once I get my computer back up, I'd be willing to League with you.
Ironbite-also the Irishness of Floydium but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.

I appreciate the offer Ironbite, but it kinda seems to me that the whole point of premade groups is to avoid dumbasses and douchebags... >D

Ironbite-also love Caitlyn too and I'm a decent Warwick player too. You think Heimer does that well now, you should have seen him when he first came out. The max turrets were 5, they would do crazy amounts of damage and get good, good buffs from his ultimate (which used to be CD reduction and upgrade one turret up a level, and had about a 15 second CD) and they would not die when Heimer did. The common tactic was just set up a row of 5 turrets and slowly creep them up a lane. And don't worry, the team I normally run with isn't much better. We have a person who likes to believe he knows everything, a guy who imitates the pros as much as he can, a berserker with no regard for personal safety or really tactics at all, an IRL troll, a kill-stealing whore, a person who literally only plays supports and manages to screw them up too, and a wild card who's performance can be decided by the amount of soda he's drunk and the music that's playing. Every team has its own quirks. If you play long enough you may be surprised at how well you mesh. And yes, I know there were more than five but we have subs. I appreciate the offer Ironbite, but it kinda seems to me that the whole point of premade groups is to avoid dumbasses and douchebags... >D Unless those dumbasses are your friends and are actually quite competent once they decide they should be serious.

We like our pubbies when they don't act retarded and actually support. You should try us some time. Just don't give us advice. That was arrow's mistake. Ironbite-I lane with Warwick...I don't jungle.

My bro got me to download this a couple days ago. It's not a bad game necessarily, but I don't think it's going to hold my attention for very long. The prices of most of the stuff in the shop make it look like it takes way more playing time than I'm willing to devote to get anything interesting, and I'm not going to shell out money just to get a different skin for the characters. The only redeeming value I can think of right now is that a lot of my cousins seem to play, and I don't get to see them too often, so it could give us a way to keep in touch between the twice a year (if that) that I see them.

Well, with the recent release of Dominion, I figured I'd necro the topic and see if we could get any kind of discussion. So which LoL players have tried it, and what are your thoughts?
Personally, I like it so much I can't even go back to Summoner's Rift now. I tried, and it just felt painfully slow and like nothing ever happened.
