I still say the second Doctor was the best.

I didn't really watch prior to the ninth. I love him, wish we got another season out of him, though then we might not have got Tennant. I'm watching a lot of older stuff on Netflix streaming right now. Gotta say, I'm not getting the love for the Fourth Doctor. Like what I've seen of the second, fifth, and seventh. Enjoyed all three of the current series' Doctors. I've seen almost nil from the third and sixth, not to mention I didn't see the movie so I haven't seen the eighth, and the first wasn't all that interesting. Still...Gotta appreciate the rich history of the DOC-TORRRRRR!

I'm up to Revenge of the Cybermen. You? I haven't been watching them in order, the list of serials I've watched is: Spearhead from Space Robot The Ark in Space The Sontaren Experiment The Android Invasion The Brain of Morbius The Deadly Assassin The Armageddon Factor Destiny of the Daleks Nightmare of Eden The Leisure Hive I started from the Fourth Doctor mostly because they were the ones that were on TV at the time and I'm continuing from there. I'm pretty new to the whole Doctor Who thing. Well you got a long, long way to go then. I'm watching chronologically and I've been at it since 2009.

I think THAT is the moment Davies decided to make Rose his pet character and write her into a complete Mary Sue. I say that because I didn't mind and actually liked Rose up until that point. After that, she bogged down every episode she was a part of, even the best episodes of season 2. I have to wonder if she would have become so unbearable if Eccleston hadn't left the show so early. That said, the 9th Doctor is my favorite Doctor with the 7th in close second, even though I've only seen one of his episodes (Remembrance of the Daleks, an absolutely fantastic episode).

Am I the only person who liked Rose while acknowledging she is a Mary Sue?

Am I the only person who liked Rose while acknowledging she is a Mary Sue? The Doctor: (from DVD) quite possibly.

Weeping angels = the thing that gives the resurrected series validity.
Tons of Dalek/Cybermen/Sontaran episodes and no new enemies would just be a nostalgia trip rather than a proper show.

Yes, well, I still ship them, because dam nmit CHRISTOPHER WHY DID YOU HAVE TO STOP BEING THE DOCTOR AND NOT GET MORE COMPANIONS?
