Or else Canadians will attack with red pointy bits? They DO come out of the womb knowing how to use hockey sticks....

That's the secret warning: Don't insult our hockey teams. Is it true if you insult Canadian beer this happens?

We know how to use 'eh' out west too. Compare someone from Texas to someone from Newfoundland, and get back to me. Although I said it somewhat tongue in cheek, I do often find it difficult to tell mainstream American accents and Canadian accents apart; everyone in Juno has the same accent to my ear.

I know, I was just teasing . I can't blame you for having trouble telling the difference at times. Put someone from the non-Atlantic portions of the Northern US next to a random person from an urban setting in Canada (outside of Quebec, the Maritimes & the territories), and it might take the two of them a little while to notice that the other pronounces certain words in a weird way. Canadians are even less likely to notice it, being that we hear them on TV/movies all the time. And in fairness, English regional accents can sometimes be difficult to distinguish for North Americans. Hell, I've even come across people who couldn't tell an Australian accent from an English one, which is just.... baffling. Some English accents share similarities with Aussie ones, but they're still pretty distinct.

I grew up on a lot of programming that was apparently Canadian, and I really didn't think anything of the different pronunciations because I was exposed to them. ...Err, eh? I can certainly see why people who watch American movies and TV shows might be a little...Indoctrinated.
