...shit, thanks for reminding me, I need to do some serious catching-up on Gunnerkrigg.

Because some comics DO go for that, some don't. See Kevin and Kell or Jajuka, as compared to, say, Gunnerkrigg Court or Furry Experience. I...don't know what you mean. I'm disputing the "avoid Carnivore Confusion at all costs" thing. As they say, Tropes Are Not Bad.

I've considered what to do about the carnivore issue (I didn't know it had a trope name), but I haven't come to any firm conclusions yet. For the time being, I'm sticking to herbivorous animals and omnivorous ones that don't generally prey on things like rabbits. So I'm avoiding the issue for now, but it might come up later.
@ Deadpan et al: Feel free to post other webcomics here, especially ones created by forum members. This doesn't have to be all about me.

Just make it so all meats are made from homo sapiens. Simple enough.

That would be pretty clever.

Someone, somewhere, said "it's a can of worms you don't want to open up unless you have to."

Webcomics suggestions, eh? Dungeons and Denizens, Paradigm Shift (done by a Chicago artist who REALLY loves his city to the point of getting an architect degree so he can detail the locations better), Ballerina Mafia, Gene Catlow, General Protection Fault, Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures, Misfile, The Whiteboard, Sabrina Online, Freefall, Looking For Group, Dominic Deegan, Doc Rat... that's everything off the top of my head, along with the four I mentioned earlier... I'm still probably forgetting a few.

Someone, somewhere, said "it's a can of worms you don't want to open up unless you have to." Close. It was: Carnivore Confusion is a can of worms you don't open unless you want to, or have to. The realism here is low enough for the latter to not apply.

I like the expression in the bottom-left panel. Very self-pitying.

Thanks. My wife said (with regard to this very page) that I'm getting better at doing facial expressions.
There's one on the next page I just couldn't get right, though.
