On the evidence of this first half so far, people might just have to come to terms with the possibility the ABs won't actually choke this year. The all blacks have never lost a pool game. The hilarity really starts in the last-8.

Isn't it nice how quiet the Aussies are? Actually I just saw this thread. But given we got touched up like a 7 year old girl by naughty uncle harry by the Irish it's not like we'd be saying much. Not sure how much it will matter if we drop out in the pool stages given we are going to have to play much better and much smarter to get through the quarters. Speaking of touch ups the Kiwis are handing one out to the French.

NZ 37-17 France.
I watched the first half, on that basis the score could have been much more one-sided than it was.

Scotland vs Argentina should be an interesting one. An Argentina win would leave the gingers needing to beat England in the last game to reach the last 8. EDIT: Argentina 13-12 ScotlandClosest game of the tournament so far. Late Try from argentina, then scotland missing a drop goal in the last minute.

Basically the same game as four years ago, just 91.6% better.

England 16-12 ScotlandGame was a shocker, England were crap and didn't really deserve to win. Still, not complaining. England into the QFs to face France, Ginger Scourge on the plane home (barring Georgia pulling off a massive upset against Argentina). Oh, and not forgetting the French getting done in by TongaIf it weren't for a last minute try to bring them within 7pts, France would be joining the Gingers on the plane.

Ireland might be the best team in their half of the knockout phase. Let's see how they handle the burden of that sort of expectation.

Interestingly, the draw has seperated the northern and southern hemispheres.
Semifinal 1 will be England or France vs Ireland or Wales Semifinal 2 will be South Africa or Australia vs New Zealand or Argentina

No idea what's happening with the Scotland team these days - they seem to lose interest if they take the lead and allow the other team to run all over them, at which point they lose interest altogether.

Wow and it looks like the world cup might be decided by Dan Carter's groin.

Who would be a NZ flyhalf. Can't get through a game without tearing a groin.
Amazing stuff by Wales and France. Aussies lucky, just scraped through with the only consolation being we can play much better (will need to beat the all blacks even without Carter).
I thought the Argentinians were great and were not done justice by the final scoreline, looking forward to them being part of the Four nations.
Who'd have thought Wales might win it?

Not even that, they just lose interest in the game altogether, it's as though they've said "Oh fuck it, we've got the sponsorship, let's just fuck about for the next ten minutes".
