You can do custom colours as well. Example:text [ETA] If you know the RGB colours you have to convert it to hex. Here is a site I use to do that.

Thanks Oriet, this should be a bit more readable.

No problem. Part of why I'm not using a colour all the time is because it has to be done for each and every post, which gets annoying. Especially as I haven't memorized the hex for the colour I like to use. I guess if I kept using it though...
[ETA] Having to spell it "color" instead of "colour" in the tag is also annoying for me.

You mean I'm not the only American who occasionally uses the British spelling. Thank fuck.

If you''re using Windows, go to Start - Programs - Accessories - Paint. Click on Colors - Edit Colors, and click the "Edit Colors" button. Click on any "basic color" other than black and then just click and move the mouse over the color field on the upper right. The sample color will show in the box in the lower center and the RGB values will show in the boxes at the lower right as you move. You'll still have to convert it to hex. You can do it one at a time by typing "xxx in hex" (without the quotes) in Google. e.g., typing 231 in hex returns 0xE7 (= E7)

You mean I'm not the only American who occasionally uses the British spelling. Thank fuck. You couldn't possibly be the only one. And now I am attempting to incorporate a British spelling into this post. And I am failing miserably. One notices that the value "grey" is nonstandard in CSS.I love hex codes. They are so easily randomised. And I succeeded in utilising British spelling conventions.

I like spelling it "grey" and not "gray". I don't like small A's. They seem very snobby to me. And small e's are just party animals. Everyone loves a small 'e'.

Yeah, I use British spelling. Practically all the time too. I've even set my spell checkers to en-GB just to make sure I can still have decent spelling without going mad.

Mine is getting worse. I still resist it, but instead of adding u's to various words I'm starting to replace "z" with "s."

I started using British English about when I started talking to my English friend, and it's stuck since. Now it's the only way I do it, and it takes a conscious effort not to put in the U.
I don't go for every word, though. While "colour" and "realise" look right, "sceptic" does not.

Hey all! I'm back! Miss me? No? Didn't think so. I've been away for a couple of weeks because I've moved in with a friend and we don't have an internet connection yet. Man, it's good to be back. Anyway, how's y'all doing? GOOD! S'up, man? Good to have you back in the fold... so to speak. Great to hear you are doing well. LR: I do feel you on your issues. Please don't mistake my lighthearted comment as indifference or derisiveness.

Er... I'm lost... did I blow somebody off other than the fictional Iron Man who fictionally bashed in my apartment wall? I get that the sympathies are real, and I do appreciate them. I just find sucky things easier to deal with when accompanied by snarky humor. That's all.
