Don't be silly, we'd never get involved an unwinnable nightmare quagmire that costs thousands of American lives over multiple decades.

Snicker.
Tack on a few more years to Uganada's already nearing three decade long war and I'm sure they'll pull through eventually with some good ol' fashion US assistance.

George W. was the first Prez to send advisers to Uganda. The LRA is committing terrorism in the name of JESUS. Can't make the founder of our nation look bad...DUH

Like fucking clockwork. (WARNING - Link contains picture of victim mutilated by the LRA, namely his/her nose was cut off) Rush Limbaugh takes the bait on the LRA being Christian and all: Of course Rush will NEVER admit to being wrong. Even when he does find out the atrocities the LRA has committed. blog.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2011/10/15/rush_limbaugh_on_lords_resistance_army_obama_invades_uganda_targets_christiansAnyway it should be noted, in the link and elsewhere, the decision has been applauded by the group Human Rights Watch, which has been championing external intervention into the decades-long guerilla war since last year. So take that at whatever value you choose.

well. I'm gonna say this. I think it's the morally right thing to do(stop a bunch of mass murderers, rapists, etc), but I'm not sure we're doing it the right way.

I'm sure it will be clear in hindsight.

well. I'm gonna say this. I think it's the morally right thing to do(stop a bunch of mass murderers, rapists, etc), but I'm not sure we're doing it the right way. It's like this: -Spending huge amounts of money and lives on being world moral police or -Leaving the world to its own devices and policing only your own territory. Pick one.

You leave out the part where you get a bunch of bullshit for not helping.

And a bunch of bullshit for helping. My point. Not helping could also presumably backfire on you in practical terms.
