Yup better keep track of who is going run against Obama.
From what I can tell Cain and Romney are the top two, based on comparing various news articles. Of course I could be mistaken.

Cain said previously that anyone who was poor or was jobless, it was solely their own fault. When someone asked him that, given the size of OWS now, does he still hold that opinion. He said yes and got a standing ovation.

Cain said previously that anyone who was poor or was jobless, it was solely their own fault. He also said we should build an electrified fence along the border with Mexico, complete with barbed wire on top and signs that say "this can kill you." As one blogger (I think on Daily Kos) said, "at least building this fence would put Americans to work."

We don't normally have a section of the national budget reserved for border fence upgrades. Fence maintenance yes, but upgrades? That's extra. Putting people to work via Keynesian spending. That's something the Democrats would do.

That’s assuming the companies hired to build it don’t outsource the work to the Mexicans the fence is supposed to keep out.

I saw this at the local bar when I got back into town. I was sitting there having a few pints and some hot wings and I got such amusement out of these it was astounding.
Watching these debates really shows exactly how out of touch with reality these people are! When Cain was asked that given that Bloomberg had run the numbers on his 9-9-9 plan and advised that he would only raise something like 8% of the money he needed.
What was Cain's response?
"Well, the first thing I have to say is that their calculations are wrong. The 9-9-9 plan is the best possible tax plan for this country."
So basically he just jammed his fingers in his ears and kept screaming his gibberish. These people scare me...When Romney is the sanest one in the group? You know you have problems.

Cain is the front runner for now, but I doubt he'll get the nomination. His comments about the occupiers pretty much alienated a majority of the middle class and lower class people from him.

It becomes hard and harder to envision a "sane" Republican without the figure becoming a reskinned Democrat.

To be honest, I don't know what is scarier. The visible insanity of the republican candidates, or that they actually have enough support to give any democrat candidate a real run for it.
Seriously, the stuff that comes out of their mouths should not just alienate the people of America, but should also be making sure someone with a nice white jacket comes and visits them. How the hell do they manage to actually have the support to win? With the way they act it should be like they are almost giving the elections to the democrats, and yet they still manage to get close to 50% of the vote, or in some scary cases actually win.

I used to think Cain was just pretending so sound like an idiot to get support from the Right, but now I don't know. I still want to see Cain run against Obama though, just to make the election interesting. However, unless the collected IQ of the country drops 100 points in the next 12 months, Obama's got this election easily.
Then again I said the same thing for Alex Sink here in Florida and she still lost to an idiot, so I guess anything's possible.
