There is only so much peace and harmony you can bring to a Middle Eastern country created by a white man with a ruler and a map. Qué será será.

I was going to make a joke about a taking a very long time to pull out but... I was going to joke that the U.S. military is like the Catholic Church--they don't approve of pulling out. Hmm, guess I just did.

We won! We won! Didn't we? I would argue that we did. It took us way longer than it should have, but we accomplished our objectives. We defeated Saddam, we stabilized the country, and now we're leaving.

Way I figure it, the pullout is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good, because they don't have to worry about getting shot at... and bad because... well, I have a brother that was discharged from the military a couple years back. The ONE place that's hired him since, and doesn't seem too keen on keeping him in the two months he's been there after just getting hired? A warehouse shipping distribution center for Amazon.com.
Not even the soldiers are garunteed a job... what will these guys do when they get back? where will the employment be for them? how many will re-enlist just for the paycheck?

Doesn't the GOP want to send them all off to Iran now? I am sure I remember something about Iran being the next group of brown people the republicans want to kill. On a more serious note, I think this is great news. Really American troops should never have been involved in either war. Both wars have been hugely unsuccessful wasteful and based on false information and corruption. Having the balls to pull out and stop the needless death of American soldiers lives would be a good thing. Who knows perhaps with this the government can reduce its extreme military spending and actually fix some of the huge economic cock-ups happening within its own borders.

And what will be, is a full blown civil war.
