Yes because "*clap, clap clap*" says so much and is soooooooooooooooooo deep. Compare : So what exactly are you trying to say there LHM? That this is some nation wide problem of police getting pissed off at people preforming the Haka and that the police should just be disbanded and the rest of society should be left to fend for itself? I mean, that's what you want right? Yay hypocrisy!

If the NCAA hadn't told the University of Hawaii football team to stop their pre-game "dance," this wouldn't have happened. Seeing the entire team spread out across the field, doing their version of the haaka would stick with you!
So it's all the fault of the NCAA.

The police should've just done what they can to let people get by the performers, and let them finish. The dancers weren't hurting or scaring anyone, and the crowd seemed okay with it. The pepper spray was really over the top and inappropriate - hell, they even managed to hit the crowd.
I don't know. I don't consider myself to be one to harbor anything akin to a "fuck da police" attitude, but I think we really need to emphasize proportional and proper responses when we train our policemen. Pepper spray should be used to subdue someone who is turning aggressive or is a danger to other people; it should be used to stop a bad situation from becoming worse. It should not be used to halt activity that seems to be inconvenient or annoying. It should never be used on people that aren't actually breaking the law or becoming a danger to other people and/or themselves.
I understand the Haka looks intimidating (and badass!) but still, this was uncalled for.

I'll wager it's for the same reason all the other "someone does something epically wrong" threads that make up around 70% of Politics and Government and Religion and Philosophy. It's not to induce some sort of world-changing discussion but rather to simply share a an interesting news story. This. Honestly, this knee-jerk hostility towards everything LHM posts is getting very annoying. Take it from someone who hates LHM, all he did was insert "Clap clap clap" and people already are jumping down his throat. Jump down his throat for the things he's actually saying, thank you very much. Not for things he's saying that everyone else says about similar situations. Seriously, ironbite. Anyways... The Haka's fucking awesome. These police are dipshits. Kick their asses off the squad and into jail for assault, please k and thanks, goodbye.

Semi-wrong definition of trolling, trolling is trying to elicit a particular reaction.
All I did was ASK YOU TO ELABORATE & then indicate how your MISLEADING TITLE & LIMITED INFORMATION can cause misunderstanding, & you're accusing me of not understanding English?
And now he's calling us retards because OBVIOUSLY what he meant was SO PERFECTLY CLEAR because SOME people got what he was "trying" to say. And Ironbite's conclusion was less valid because, what, it made LHM look bad? My favorite part is how he's been talking about reading comprehension when "Clap. Clap. Clap." isn't even a damn sentence.
How do you expect me to give a shit when he always ends up earning it anyway?

Wow, you can't actually dispute me, so you just attack a small grammar mistake? That's pretty pathetic, even for you.

Right. Much better to follow people around every thread and disagree with everything they say, on spec. "Clap. Clap. Clap." isn't even a damn sentence. And remember boys and girls, criticising someone else's grammar is "pathetic".

It's like I said, in the end, he always turns out crazy & stupid. You guys can keep making excuses for him if you want, but I am beyond the point of giving a shit. In short:

An unfortunate incident, and a rather slow news day.

This isn't F&B. You know the drill. That goes for all the rest of the people in this thread who apparently thought it was F&B, too.
/Mod hat off
