Seconding Luna. I'd do highly inappropriate things to her, if given half a chance. + Quarter of a chance with me. Luna wouldn't be loved good if you know what I mean. I liked the twins

Fred and George were rangas and you know what they say about them. Well male redheads anyway.

Actually their surname is Patel. Parvati is one of them. I forget what the other one is called.

I've been giving this probably too much thought over the last 24 hours... and the short answer is, there are very few women in film who are their own people, rather than a foil for the male lead to play off. Not that they can't be great characters, but its harder to really feel something. In TV theres a few more I really feel for, Kaylee from Firefly, Dana Scully from X-files, or Kate Austin from Lost. Most of the female characters who melt me are from literature. Ione Saldana from Night's Dawn, Angua from Pratchett's Guards series, pretty much any female lead from Heinlein, but Maureen and Podkayne especially.
And Goldberry from Fellowship, obviously, but like she'd ever even notice a mere human.

Well, shit, if you look at it that way, then there are no characters who are "their own people," just varied forms of constructed archetypes.

River Tam - just how complicated can a character be? And kickass... And hellacute...
Winry Rockbell - such skills with a spanner.

Edward Scissorhands. That whole movie turns me into a sobbing puddle of goo.

If we're allowed to count anime characters, then Nana and Lucy from Elfen Lied. Yes, even though Lucy killed all those people.

I think Jack's loophole is that FMA has 2 movies.
Wait, Bleach has 4.
In that case, Orihime.
