I know it would be impossible to implement and regulate, but I think any person or couple who wants children should have to be tested and certifide. I remain in favour of opt out-able implanon implants for every girl from 16 years on, until declined or requested removed. While you would still get the occasional teen pregnancy, abortion, and abusive parent horror story like this, I reckon you'd see less by an order of magnitude. Of course, when you suggest it to many of the people who claim to be concerned about such things, they work themselves into a right froth.

My aunt is in favor of in some way making teens infertile until age 20, and it would be mandatory.
I told her, "Forced infertility is a crime against humanity, unless it's done to teens?"
As long as people (this includes teens) don't have to take it, I wouldn't care if it were available.

Definitely not interested in preventing people who want to have children from having them.

I really think that we as a species need to have our reproductive process changed.
Ironbite-as is, too easy to just have a moment's lust turn into...well this.

I find it pretty strange that the very young boy was seemingly well looked after but not the girl. Unless they only lock their children up in cages later in those children's lives. Seriously, as much as locking up your children seems appealing to a parent, this is seriously messed up. No normal parent would do this to their children. How does one even think of doing something like this. I honestly suspect it may have to do with the gender of the child. Note that the son was known to the neighbors and appeared to be healthy, whereas the daughter was kept in a cage and had never left the house. It honestly would not surprise me if the dead child whose remains they found also turns out to be female. Some people are sexist in bizarre and horrific ways.

I still believe one of the more disturbing aspects of this whole mess is these few simple words that tell a chilling tale about the public mindset.
"He went to church and everything."
How does anyone still assume this is the gauge of a good person?
