Basically, the description on the Atlas Shrugged DVD cover declared it to be a story of courage and self-sacrifice, which, if you know anything about Ayn Rand, sounds like a complete load of crap. I admittedly haven't read the story, but given her infamous rejection of altruism, I think it's safe to say they screwed up pretty badly here.

I also love a comment I saw, in reply to someone stating that, despite her beliefs, Ayn Rand drew Social Security:
Did she pay into social security? If she did, then she has a right to withdraw her funds. Nobody likes being told to save money, or eat their veggies. So what? Both are good for you. Too many think a hot bag-o-fries is a good vegetable, and saving is for old folks. Get over it.
