m.cnn.com/primary/_fOkXBD-ijjb051vOHopefully the mobile url will work. Or you can just check cnn for the article. I find this fascinating. My only worry about medical advancements its how much it will cost and thus how available it will be.

This is incredible for treating heart disease. Hopefully the early findings are fully supported by larger tests for it, so that it can become a widely adopted procedure.

Cue fundie shitstorm.
...Though I think they may have started already.
Success! That is a good thing. A nice bright light to shine amidst the turbulent darkness of the political storm.

If they are, they're total hypocrites (big surprise there) as adult stem cells were their ace in the hole for justifying the ban on fetal stem cell research.

I had a good friend die from heart failure. I think he would really like to have been around now. It'll indeed probably be prohibitively expensive at first, but most medical procedures are when they're not more mainstream.
Give it time. If fundies don't screw it up, I have a feeling this will be a real feather in the cap of humanity.

Don't like it? Don't use it. Though I tend to think when push comes to shove, you'll be begging your doctor for it.
