That would be a particularly inept assassination attempt. Yeah, it’s kinda hard to assassinate someone just by blindly firing through a window. Even if Obama was there to begin with, it wasn’t likely to do anything. My guess is, as ironbite said, gang activity or something similar. |

I'm guessing the article was updated since this posting because they have the suspect in custody. From what I heard on the news, he has mental health issues. The article says he thought killing the president was a personal mission from God.

"Obama's going to sell our country to the Muslims, I know it!" "He's religious! Don't you see? He'll make this a religious nation!" So, in other words, there's plenty of delusions that make more and less sense (simultaneously) that would work for an atheist. Even of the atheist fundie flavor. |

You'd think someone who was on a "mission from God" would have a better idea than trying to shoot through bulletproofed white house windows when the president isn't even HOME... |

Occupy Wall Street has already been blamed by some Republican trolls, on the basis that the crazy man had got some sort of assistance from one of their soup kitchens or whatever. But Republicans can't be blamed for obeying Palin's order to shoot people, of course.
