I was one of the few kids who actually preferred the hot lunch to anything I brought from home. It's because we never really had anything good to eat for lunch at home. The few times I did pack a lunch, I had a folded over jelly sandwich and a bag of potato chips. I'd stare enviously at the kids who bought a school lunch.
But sometimes even the school lunch was barely edible. I'd have to pay $2.75 for a lunch I could just stand to eat because they tried to make it healthy, but failed and it was just gross.
And this is coming from someone who enjoys healthy foods, like salads and celery.

Pizza can be both healthier and frozen. It depends on the ingredients... I really enjoy a thin whole wheat crust with mozzarella, feta, spinach, and chicken breast.
It's not terribly high in fat, has all 4 food groups, and lots of fiber and iron... and it doesn't taste like health food.
