I wonder what Planned Parenthood actually does for that. You don't want to turn the victims away, but you don't want to be complient with the crime.

You know what? You know who these people are? They're PETA for fetuses. No, seriously. - Many of them are hypocrites
- They do undercover sting operations which "prove" an organization is bad because they catch individual employees doing bad things
- One of their favorite tactics is using graphic images to sicken and shock people into joining their cause
- They don't give a shit about actual people, and sometimes encourage harm to people to get their point across and their message out

So one PP employee was an asshole. Doesn't make them all assholes. Actually, the footage was heavily edited (and was proven as such in court of law) and I'm pretty sure that employee did notify the police, though I don't recall exactly.

Well, saying they're babies wasn't getting enough people morally outraged, & the KKK thing just got them pissed off at US, so we had to try something different!

So one PP employee was an asshole. Doesn't make them all assholes. To the "pro-life" cause the end justifies the means. Hyperbole, sensationalism and misreporting are all okay if it keeps women from going to a clinic. It would be evil, however, for their critics to resort to the same tactics. I feel sick.

I was actually more wondering whom people were compared to before Hitler & Stalin were around--Stalin because he came on the scene around the same time. Ah, so that's how that ends. That's a lot of Unfortunate Implications right there. I think most of your conclusions are probably accurate, knowing how Fundies work. But all of that aside, I still don't think "regret" is an immediate justification to attack everyone else--& as I recall, those comments were more hostile than not. It is especially bullshit to lecture people about how they're "hard of heart" (I fucking hate that expression) for supporting something you freaking did. Would it be wrong to remind her of that, if she is genuine? I don't know, but the moral paragon act still pisses me off. Yeah, it's generally not in a pro-lifer's' best interest to associate their political views with Satan. Satan is not a guy you want on your side. Also, if pro-lifers think that Satan is bad and that all babies are miracles, then why is Satan the good guy and the babies a punishment?

The movie is typical Fundie Punishment Porn. Kill yourself, try to miscarry to get out of this rape dungeon, don't change your mind BEFORE experiencing the 'joy of childbirth,' all of these things are grounds for Hell. In fact, there's a line used that's to the effect of "you didn't appreciate the value of what you gave up (killed yourself), & so will spend eternity bringing it into the world." If that doesn't say "you were meant to be a baby factory & nothing else," I don't know what does.
