Maybe Homestar Runner will be the first good webtoon on Cartoon Network?

I still don't think H*R could carry a whole half-hour or even 15 minute short. Their more standard 3-to-5 minute format works best for them. (SBCG4AP only works because of interactivity.) Plus being on television limits them on what they can do creatively (Damn you, FCC!). And TBC have said they'd never do a Homestar TV show. But given that it's been, like, a year since they did anything significant at all, who knows what they're thinking at this point~

Cartoon Network started sucking ever since they cancelled Toonami. Cartoon Network started sucking when they began to mess with Tom's design so freaking much.

They're getting better. Adventure Time is pretty much awesome, and I also like how shows nowadays finally are averting Never Say Die and Family-Friendly Firearms. It's just so awesome to hear the villain simply say "Kill them" when confronted by a teenage group of superheroes.

It just seems like so many cartoons nowadays are just copying the trend of making their work look like it came out of some 14-year-old hipster's notebook and working in as much LOL RANDOM as they can.

I haven't seen Adventure time, and can't really judge it, but the trailers and original cartoon make me think that it is a pile of Sh*t. It seems like Chowder and Flapjack on more drugs, or a kid's version of Superjail (which I hate)
What is Annoying Oranges? How can they make 15 minute episodes based off uncanny valley characters with no limbs?

1. I can't stand Annoying Orange 2. I like Adventure Time, I find the Ice King to be a hoot, but I do prefer Regular Show over Adventure Time.

Of all the internet-based things they could have chosen, they chose Annoying Orange? Fuck.

I am with nickinack. I can get behind Regular Show, because it parodies things my own age group would know about. Zombie movies, hipsters, Eldritch Abominations, etc. Adventure Time sometimes tries to do the same thing, but usually just comes across as incomprehensible lolsorandumb humor.
That being said, I don't understand the attraction to Homestar Runner. I saw it for the first time the other night, & it's more-or-less exactly how I'd describe Adventure Time.

Regular Show is about two 23-year-old slackers who goof off on their job, and then something inexplicably bizarre happens. It's pretty awesome.

What's wrong with Robot Chicken?
The main idea of Regular Show is that the 2 main characters work in a park with other...characters. I seriously don't know what the fuck most of them are. Because they are lazy, bored, or confronted with some other issue that is a product of one being a hipster & the other being afflicted with the attention span of, well, a rodent, they end up at the center of some whacky hijinks where something seemingly mundane becomes a paranormal catastrophe. A great deal of the conflict comes from them having to clean this up before their boss, a gumball machine with anger management issues, finds out what they've done.
It's easier to understand with an example: In one episode, they want cake, so they conspire to throw a surprise birthday party for another character, Skips. Skips always becomes really antisocial on his birthday & hides out in the woods. The obvious reason for this is because every year he does a tribal dance ceremony to be endowed with eternal youth. Seriously. As they interrupted the dance, they have to find some way to negotiate with the gods or whatever before they literally age him into dust.
It makes sense in context. Sort of.
