Sucky Christian Rap. I admire the attempts by these girls but their choreography and rap syncopation is off. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dFqvjkQMc0[glow=red,2,300]Enjoy it while your ears bleed.[/glow]

I hate it when parents lie to their kids and tell them they have talent.

Ha, there was a time I listened to Christian music all the time... nothing BUT Christian music. DC Talk, Amy Grant, Carmen.
I was a kid, I had much fear of Hell.
And fear of Hell is pretty much all that can get you to listen to the vast majority of that stuff.

I hate it when parents lie to their kids and tell them they have talent. That's my problem with American Idol. Don't you have any friends or family to tell you you suck, or do they all hate you so bad they want you humiliated on national TV?

I guess they just want to have some laughs... until the day they die. ::)

Ahhh the glories of YouTube. Where even the most untalented, waste of space can get their 15 minutes.

One made it through only to get sent home on the first plane back, but to hear her tell it, they already had those grammys locked up. She's one of those snooty types who thinks she's better than everyone else, and if her daughter's were going to be stars, we all better start kissing her ass now. Hah, my brother's have both been working in the entertainment industry for 10 years, I could have told her a thing or two about life in the "biz". She's a bible-thumping racist fundie too, I'm amazed she even let them go in the first place.

I have always been of the mind that, in music, Christian-anything is a lie. Regardless of style, all Christian music sounds the same to me (my father knows of no other radio station or XM station, it seems).
Which is to say it doesn't really sound like music at all.

A play on the Christian satire boy band Altar Boyz. Didn't think these girls were that funny, tho.

If you mean the genre of "Christian" music, I definitely agree. It's kind of like kid's music, in that they filter everything down into a processed paste for consumption by people who don't want to be challenged (In the case of kids, the parents don't). It's nothing against Christian musicians, because a lot of them actively try to avoid being hit with the label. There really is something about Christian (insert genre) that removes everything interesting.

That's my problem with American Idol. Don't you have any friends or family to tell you you suck, or do they all hate you so bad they want you humiliated on national TV? *nods* I watch Idol (though I think I'm done after this season--UGH), and I ask that, like, a squillion times through the painful and allegedly funny auditions. Ha, there was a time I listened to Christian music all the time... nothing BUT Christian music. DC Talk, Amy Grant, Carmen. Should I be happy to say I have never heard of these? Yes. Extremely. Those artists plagued me in the late 80s and early 90s, too. And I loved hip-hop, and there was some sweet stuff then, and I still can't believe I let anyone convince me to actually throw away my CDs and replace them with Christian hip-hop! *slaps self*
