Wtf? I know the guy who does the Brick Testament and he was VERY true to the Bible. That's hardly his fault. Maybe people should read their own Bible before doing shit like this.
EDIT- he even states it isn't for children. It's for teens and adults BECAUSE of the sexually explicit and violent scenes. Even tho it's LEGO I guess people still need to bitch and moan.

LinkNot sure what to think of this. In the United States as far as I can tell, you can depict rape, multiple murder, genocide, beatings, shootings, muggings and war in all its full horrific glory. But don't you DARE depict ATHEISM, that's...obscene!

Rape is iffy, because sex. The rest are fine.

So these people think it's okay to read the Bible to their kids, but not something which contains the same content but with pictures and a humorous tone?

Compared to some of the other things kids end up seeing on the nightly news, The Brick Testament is fun, entertaining, and hardly something I'd call obscene. God, I sound like an advertiser for it.

Worse yet, I bet, seeing as he's being very true to the Bible, this is because they really have no fucking idea what's actually written there so the truth must be very very disturbing to them. Truly, any truth whatsoever must absolutely blow their mind.

Rape is divisive because some people will think the author is being "true to reality or making some kind of statement," & others will say that he's just trying to be "tastelessly dark & edgy." And there's probably some minority who jacks off to it.
Sex is still iffy, but that's another issue altogether.
From the woman who seems to have basically started the whole affair. I don't think she knows what that phrase means. I also love how the author took the time to contact her & lay out her mistakes, & she basically just ignored him, while claiming she actually was responding to him the whole time somehow.
If I were in charge, I would allow this. But I would also pull all Christian literature that depicts non-Christian beliefs. I'd play their little game. And I'd win.

If you would have actually read your bible, you would have known all that stuff was in there in the first place.

She covers her ass by explaining that she believes the material in the Bible should be taught at an age-appropriate level.
She somehow claims non-ignorance of Biblical obscenities while simultaneously asserting that the LEGO Bible twists the stories.

If these people wanted the bible to be taught at an age-appopriate level they wouldn't need children church.
They're just upset because the leggo bible doesn't cherry pic.
