So, now Jesus saves you, but only if you don't wear something with 666 on it?
Man, Christianity keeps changing the rules on me.

If so, than good on his ex-boss. If you can't do your job because of your imaginary friend than you can simply fuck off.

Seriously, guy? You think you'll be damned for wearing THAT?
On the other hand, assuming he's telling the truth (and there could very well be more to the story) it does seem a bit excessive to fire him over it. I doubt that not wearing the sticker would impact his job performance.

I suspect management got fed up with him. If it was just the sticker, then it's excessive (although this is the land of at-will employment where you can legitimately lose your job for any reason or even no reason).

So, what did the sticker look like?

If he's this batshit nuts over wearing a sticker with something like 666 Accident Free Days on it, he had probably been proselytizing something fierce at work. I would think that something like this would not be grounds to fire someone unless there had been other factors involved, even in a Right-to-Work state. I live in such a state and have had employees before and wouldn't think of firing one of them over something this insignificant, especially if they were an otherwise good employee. Something about this case just isn't being told in this story.

The Mark of the Beast is really 616, so he should have been okay.

I am wracking my brain trying to figure out how wearing an accident free time tracking sticker is an essential part of his job. His boss should have just been, "Aw, fuck it man, just don't wear the sticker today. Now go do your damn job and stop bothering me." Over-reaction on BOTH sides.

I don't think we're getting the whole story. I'm guessing something else happened and he's just saying it was because of the sticker. Just guessing though.

There probably is more to the story, but that doesn't necessarily preclude the possibility that management overreacted.

I remember reporting this story on a recent show and I had the same reaction you did.
